HAWAII WALLS 2023

FEATURED ARTIST

After over 10 years of attending Hawaii Walls (Previously Pow! Wow! Hawaii!) as an on looker, I was blessed to be invited back home to Hawaii to paint a mural as an artist.

WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD

As made popular in the islands of Hawaii, What a Wonderful World by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, felt like a no brainer for a line to spread positivity as a message to the community. This was my first proper mural under my artist name, Nyte. Combining my love for typography and vintage neon signs, my goal through my art is to create a visual experience that many people can relate to beyond something that is just visually appealing.

WORLDWIDE WALLS MAUI FIRE RELIEF PRINT FUNDRAISER

FEATURED ON
HONOLULU MAGAZINE

November 1, 2023

Honolulu Magazine published an article on the Worldwide Walls x Aloha de Mele Maui Wildfire Fundraiser project. I was fortunate enough to be one of the few featured artists within the project. The article was published both on their website and social media platforms.

LIGHTS WILL GUIDE YOU HOME

Pulled from Coldplay’s Hit ‘Fix You’, “Lights Will Guide You Home” is a line that represents the stars at night being a beacon of hope during times of darkness. I thought this was a fitting line in times of tragedy as a reminder that even in the worst of times, things do get better. This line also resonates with the Polynesian-Hawaiian Voyaging ways of navigating the seas by following the stars at night.

LONG BEACH WALLS 2022

WORKING - VOLUNTEER

It was a pleasure to offer extra hands to the artists and crew of Long Beach Walls. Learning about each artist as well as their unique painting techniques are always a major plus on top of being able to help them reach their goals of finishing their murals in any way possible. From gathering paint, projecting and sketching murals, to buffing walls, and setting up lifts, it’s all part of the fun process of a successful mural event. A special thanks to my mentor, Jasper Wong, and Crew for having me out.
